Prayer is not a good Bakcup Solution

These days, 99% of Businesses will tell you that they are implementing a Backup Solution to protect their digital data. But, if you ask them: Have you ever tested or done a full restore of your backup? Then only about 8% of them will answer "Yes" with a confident feeling. It is sad to see most businesses waiting until the emergency happens to find out how good their backup solution is. When the big emergency comes, some businesses don't get any data back and have to start all over from scratch. Others get their data back but after spending numerous hours or even days to put it back in place.

One focus that Computer Projects has, it is to provide you with the backup solution that has the quickest and most reliable restore available.  No, it is not the same solution for all businesses and therefore we do evaluate your network to provide you with the right solution at the best price for you.

Your business needs a backup solution that can give you back your data in minutes and not in days or weeks.

Have you ever tried to download a 100GB, 50GB or even a 10GB file over the Internet? This task can take hours or even days to complete and if there are any interruptions while doing your download, you may have to start your download all over again from the beginning.

We love cloud backups and we use them with our clients but, after an emergency, be aware that most cloud backup solutions are not able to put you back in business in a few minutes.

What if your Internet provider has a download limit of 250GB per month and you need to download several cloud backups for different computers that hold data way over the 250GB limit?

With a Computer Projects backup solution, you won't need to think about all these issues. We can provide you with a cost-effective combination of cloud and local backup that can restore a complete 100GB hard drive in less than 90 minutes. In most cases less than 60 minutes. Multiple computer restoration is also possible!

So, our backup solutions helps you to be in business and to stay in business!

Why chose Computer Projects [San Francisco Bay Area] as your IT Services Provider?

What's an IT Service? An IT Service is an external firm or person who provides you with essential IT related services. Typical examples are Internet Service Providers, Web Hosting, Online Backup and VOIP. They should: Document your network, Keep all your files, contact info, and notes in one place, Save money, See which vendors are popular and find the best value, Track problems, Ensure your providers keep their agreements.

Most large IT firms love to work by the “new project” and by the emergency because this is how they make the most money. They love to push technologies and upgrades you don’t need and, if you are not buying, then you should at least have one emergency a month so that they can keep the cash flow for their inflated IT payrolls.

We work differently; we take a proactive approach to IT services

First, we get rid off any repetitive issue you may have on your network. It could be a printer that keeps failing or a server that crashes every Wednesday at 6:30 AM before you come to work. It could be a desktop or laptop that works fine during winter but keeps crashing during the summer due to weather heat. We look at all the details big or small.

Second, we put in place a backup that works. We don’t put the backup that we “think or pray” is working  but, the one you can ask us for a quick emergency drill and show you a successful restoration. Our backup solutions are the most complete and the quickest in restoration time. Try it!

Third, yes - why not look at how you and your employees are using your technology? Someone in your organization may be using bad software causing others to crash or loose Internet connectivity. There may be a user who got a good deal on free software but the software is attracting spy-ware and viruses on your network. Maybe someone at your workplace keeps disconnecting that Internet box thinking that’s going to solve the slow Internet problem, but every time this happens everyone has to wait 10 minutes before they can get back on-line. Not a permanent solution at all.

After taking care of all the details (and this doesn’t take long) we set a monthly subscription to monitor your network, backups and technology to avoid unexpected emergencies, down time or any interruptions to your business. We will let you know with plenty of time when an upgrade or change is really needed and required. We keep you updated with the status of your network and we are available to help you remotely or in person.

Our IT service model works the same as your gas, electrical utilities or cell phone service. It is rarely when you experience disruptions with your electricity because their monthly fee covers monitoring and pro-actively looking for solutions before the emergency happens. This is how Computer Projects works and many of our clients are quickly experiencing the benefits.

A Simple Way to Avoid Viruses

Our Five Cents: www.cpcert.com

Some of our members get confused when we suggest to them:  “you should use Firefox for this” or “you should use Internet Explorer for that”. Because Internet Explorer is integrated with Windows XP, Vista or 7 and if you visit a virus infected website, it can easily spread to the mechanics and sensitive areas of your computer. But, if you use Firefox (Firefox is not a Microsoft product or a part of Windows) you have better chances of avoiding a virus spreading into your PC. Now, there are certain things Firefox cannot do and this is why we created this table to help you with the decision making. Some on-line banking websites or government websites won’t allow you to use Firefox because their websites are optimized with the latest security features on Internet Explorer. You should have both browsers installed and updated in your computer and, before you decide on what browser to use, ask yourself: What type of task I’m I about to perform on the web?

This simple procedure has added a more stable and satisfactory experience between our members and their computer networks. Please tell us what you think. Thanks for reading.
